Steam Workshop support means you just click Subscribe on a map you want to get stuck into and Steam does the rest for you. The game already supported player-made maps but players would need to go through fan-run websites then download and install them themselves. Maps are already going up in MudRunner's Workshop. Another free content update will follow, and work has also begun on some American mud. Today saw the release of a new update expanding the muddy drive 'em up's Steam Workshop to support maps too, making it easier to download and play other players' creations. The whole point.Probably the main reason to buy Spintires: MudRunner if you already owned the wonderful original is the prospect of ongoing support, of what the game might become under the stewardship of publishers who aren't publicly feuding with the game's creator. DLC removed from the store because of legal reasons and the forum is full of 'it doesn't run now' threads and the weird towing bug. 3 months for a patch to fix the deliberately broken game is clever from the start. They all have their fun etc, but ST is a complete joke these days -what short memories people have eh. But apparently it's 'easy'.You can make MR as hard as you want by picking the hardest vehicle -like a non-off-road truck and winching yourself all over the map -if that's what floats your boat, But if i want to turn myself on, seeing as this game attracts posts from the narcissists, i prefer the real world for that. They don't have off-road tires or even all wheel drive, yeah it's fun just sticking them in a bit of mud at the side of the road and that's game over. But i can't compare a few trucks with a heap of trucks as they are not comparable - NOT all the American trucks for a start are off-road capable, so it's NOT easier because that's just a stupid comment.

Me i want them all and have them all and enjoy(ed) them. I bought MR because i like the varied trucks and the spawning logs of unknown varying sizes and then having to change vehicles with different trailers. It's fun but not one bit difficult other than the usual toppling over from the bloody annoying sitting on the roof camera.

I've NEVER driven over both sides of The Flood with the garage trailer and then full of logs coming back the log kiosk side of the map *first* time without getting stuck or being damaged, but i do it now! This game is caught up in it's own hype now. Stick it in crawler gear and crawl the maps and never need to winch or ever get stuck ever again. I can't be bothered being stuck in the past, Spintires is the simplest of the games by far now. Plus of course it's been broken more times than it's been playable over the past year.

Well i think i liked the 'original better' when i didn't know it inside out -like about 3 years ago.
